BE A DIET DEVIL
It is good
to remember that a calorie is a calorie
no matter what form it comes in, whether
it's in steak, rice cakes or a bag of sweets.
It's not so much the foods you eat, as
the amount you eat and how often you treat
yourself - that counts. No one
no matter how dedicated to their diet is
going to eat healthy foods for the rest of
their lives. The trick is to control the
amount of treats that you have. Food should
not be the enemy, and treats shouldn't be
the "baddies". Red wine and plain chocolate
both have 70per cent cocoa and contain antioxidants,
these help combat the effects of free radicals
in our bodies - which are responsible for
causing cancers and ageing. Even fruit cake
with it's iron and vitamin-rich dried, isn't
all bad.
